Vina loses of spare tire

JAKARTA: The chubby seagull is no more. Singer Vina Panduwinata, famed for her hit song Burung Camar (seagull), said that she has lost more than 15 kilograms over the last two years through a rigorous diet she and her nutritionist devised.

The mother of one said that her dramatic weight loss was due to a change in her eating habits.

"I used to eat very late at night. Now I eat between 5 or 6 p.m.," she said.

Vina, who now weighs a slim 55 kilograms compared to her previous 70 kilograms, said that the most difficult stage was in the beginning when she had to refrain from taking late night meals.

"I had this habit of eating at around 11 p.m. at night. At such a late hour of course, activities are slower and afterwards, it's bed. I had to change all that," she said.

The weight loss is certainly noticeable, and besides appearing sexier in her shows, Vina said that the constant headaches that used to torment her when she was fat had also greatly subsided.

"I don't know if they were migraines or what, but as I lost weight the headaches also lessened. So that's good," she said.--AP
