Villages hit by windstorms

SURABAYA: Hundreds of people are working together to repair
and rebuild houses and other buildings damaged by the windstorms
that hit eight villages in Lamongan regency on Sunday.

Antara reported yesterday the villages were in the Sekaran and
Laren districts.

Lamongan Regent H.R. Mohammad Faried visited villagers who
lost their homes to give them his "moral support."

No official estimate of the damage has yet been issued. (swe)
