Vietnam becomes member of ASEM

The Jakarta Post's article titled Megawati to attend Brunei royal wedding, ASEM summit on Sept. 4, mentioned that:"...The 10 new European Union (EU) members are likely to join ASEM, while Asian countries have proposed three new members: Vietnam, Cambodia and Myanmar."

As far as I know the three new Asian proposed to join the Asia-Europe Meeting (ASEM) are Cambodia, Laos and Myanmar, since Vietnam is already included in ASEM. Right now ASEM members both from Asian and European countries have been debating whether Myanmar should participate in the next ASEM meeting in Hanoi.
