Video game center closed down
JAKARTA (JP): The city administration closed down yesterday a video game center on Jl. Rute E, Jatinegara subdistrict, East Jakarta, for operating without a permit.
Head of the community order department of the city public order office, Toha Reno, said that the center was closed down after his office received a complaint from the public.
Toha said the complaint was filed on the basis that the center had been built too close to a local mosque.
Police investigating the complaint found that the center had not obtained the necessary permit from the municipal authorities.
"So we closed it down," Toha said
He added that his office had issued a warning to a discotheque on Jl. Mangga Besar, West Jakarta, over its frequent operation beyond its closing time.
"We have sent a warning letter to the discotheque," Toha said. (yns)
