Video competition for teenagers held

JAKARTA: The British Council, in collaboration with MTVonSky FM, is holding a video story competition about studying in the United Kingdom for teenagers between 15 and 18.

The council's spokeswoman, Mona Monika, said in a press statement that participants should send their three-minute videos to the British Council at S. Widjojo Centre, Jl. Sudirman 71, Jakarta, by Jan. 15 at the latest.

"In their videos, the participants must describe themselves, their vision of education, explain the benefits of studying in the UK, and their honest views of the UK," she explained.

The winner will be announced on March 1, with first prize being a trip to the UK, including visits to major companies and educational institutes. Similar competitions are also being held in 12 other countries. -- JP
