Victoria's business opportunities
The Victorian Government Business Office in Jakarta is developing networks with Indonesian companies, industries and government to identify and secure investment and trade opportunities.
The office's newly appointed Executive Director, Phillip Morey, will be working with the Indonesian government, industries and companies to identify and secure two-way investment and trade opportunities for the Victorian government and the private sector.
The main priority sectors for Victoria are agribusiness/food, automotive, multimedia, health, education, and environmental services.
The main aims of the Jakarta office are:
* to increase export activity between Indonesian and Victorian companies,
* to identify investment opportunities for Indonesian and Victorian companies,
* to represent the government of Victoria in Indonesia,
* to establish and maintain effective contacts with senior personnel in the Indonesian government and private sector,
* to coordinate missions to and from Victoria.
The office will also be working closely with Austrade and other allies to achieve its aims.
Specific activities of the Jakarta office will be:
* to develop a network of Indonesian importers, distributors, manufacturers, retailers, industry bodies and government agencies to partner with Victorian companies,
* to raise the profile of Victoria by promoting the advantages of investing and doing business with Victorian companies,
* to provide regular market intelligence to Indonesian companies and industries regarding opportunities and trends in Victoria,
* to provide regular market intelligence to Victorian companies and industries on opportunities and trends in Indonesia.
