VICO Indonesia clarifies

We are writing in response to your article published in The Jakarta Post on June 16, 2003, titled Extension of Japanese LNG contract vital: Total.

In this article you referred to our company, VICO Indonesia, as "VICO -- a subsidiary of Anglo-American firm BP PLC".

This is incorrect. Virginia Indonesia Co, LLC (VICO Indonesia) is the operating company for the Sanga Sanga Production Sharing Contract area in East Kalimantan. VICO is jointly owned by subsidiaries of both BP and the Eni Group. Please be sure you note this for any future articles.
