Venture capital body
JAKARTA (JP): The Minister of Finance, Mar'ie Muhammad, said yesterday the government would help establish a venture capital monitoring body to oversee the operation of Indonesia's 20 venture capital firms.
Mar'ie said the body would also provide market information and training for venture capital firm managers.
"This body will help them form a network, including one for trading, and find overseas market opportunities," Mar'ie said after receiving venture capital managers, commissioners and shareholders.
The establishment of the venture capital firms was sponsored by state-owned venture capital firm Bahana Artha Ventura in cooperation with local businesspeople. (rid)
