Utut suffers another defeat

JAKARTA (JP): Indonesian Grandmaster Utut Adianto suffered
another defeat in the Grandmasters Championships in Calicut,
India, Tuesday.

Utut's defeat came from International Master Ziaur Rachman
from India in the 41st move of the Tartakower opening. The other
defeat was from IM Abhijit Kunte, also from India, on the same
day.

With this defeat, Utut again slipped to sixth place together
with GM Yurtaev, who lost to Indian GM Thipsay. Both Utut and
Yurtaev recorded 3 points.

Kunte took over the standings from Russian GM Komliakov with 4
points. Kunte defeated Komliakov, putting the Russian player in
second place along with Indian IM Sashikiran with 3.5 points.
Sashikiran drew with IM Muringan. (lnt)
