Utut finishes second in rapid chess

JAKARTA (JP): Indonesian Grand Master (GM) Utut Adianto tied
three times during the Rapid Chess Tournament in Liepaja, Latvia,
on Saturday to collect a total 5.0 Match Points (MPs) together
with GM Gabriel Malisauskas of Lithuania. They were jointly in
second position.

GM Maxin Dlugy of the United States and GM Darmen Sadvakasov
of Kazakshtan were in top place with a total 5.5 MPs.

The Indonesian chess player tied with Dlugy in the seventh
match, with GM Edvin Kengis in the eighth and with GM Alons
Kveynis of Lithuania in the ninth match. (yan)
