U.S. becomes Yahoo fan
Internet portal Yahoo has successfully lured the world, including the most powerful body in the world, the U.S. government, to use its free e-mail service during the current United Nations meeting in Bali.
Despite the U.S. government's sophisticated e-mail system, the U.S. press office is using the Yahoo portal as its temporary contact e-mail address.
But, surely they have a reason for using the free email service.
"It's because we have to use the local server in Bali, so we cannot attach it to our own e-mail system. It is really a technical problem," complained one of the U.S. press officers.
The U.S. normally gets what it wants. But, this time, it has to resort to Yahoo after failing to access its own server. -- JP
