U.S. Ambassador

The photo caption of the meeting between Vice President Megawati Soekarnoputri and U.S. Ambassador Robert Gelbard on the front page of Friday's edition, and the accompanying story on the inside page, contained some inaccuracies.

The meeting was not a farewell call but a courtesy call and part of a regular dialog by the ambassador with Indonesian officials. Gelbard in fact continues to exercise his full responsibilities as the U.S. ambassador.
