UNPAR choir at Erasmus Huis

The Bandung-based Parahyangan University (UNPAR) choir will
present a special concert at the Erasmus Huis on Saturday and
Sunday.

The concert will feature a Capella classical music
compositions written by Romantic composers such as Anton
Bruckner, Camille Saint Saens, C. Stanford, Johanes Brahms and
Maurice Ravel.

Conducted by Avip Priatna, the choir has won several awards,
including "best choir" at the national choir competition
organized by the Bandung Institute of Technology in l992.

The group frequently makes public appearances such as with the
Twilite Orchestra Gala Concert II last year.

Prior to the Jakarta concert, the group will perform at the
Grand Ballroom of the Papandayan Hotel in Bandung on Aug. 18.
