University grooms tennis players

SEMARANG (JP): Diponegoro University has become the center of tennis training in the province as many players are students of the university.

"We set up the club in 1989 to accommodate the juniors and to prevent them from moving to other provinces," said university official Mudiantono on Wednesday.

The five best players in Central Java are Yusmawan Fahmi, Prima Simpatiaji, Ferza Gautama, Cuk Prihatmanto and Benny Siswanto.

The university club will cooperate with big companies in Central Java, including Sukun Kudus cigarette company. (har)
