University exam fee raised

SURABAYA, East Java: The price of purchasing a registration form for the state university entrance exam in East Java this year will be set at Rp 55,000 for a science or social studies package, or Rp 75,000 for both.

A member of the exam's organizing committee in East Java, Mohammad Moenif MS, was quoted by Antara as saying that the registration would be open from June 12 until July 1 while the exam would be held for two days from July 4.

The form was last year sold for Rp 45,000 and Rp 55,000.

The report did not say whether or not the fee would be applied to other areas in the country. (08)
