Undip to open new program

SEMARANG: Diponegoro University (Undip) in Semarang is set to
open a postgraduate program on law and human rights, according to
Muladi, a former Undip rector and minister of justice and human
rights.

Muladi, who will be a lecturer in the program, said on Friday
that the program was opened to promote the protection of human
rights and to spur the transition to democracy.

The university will hold a seminar on Monday to gain inputs
for the opening of the program and to promote awareness of human
rights in Semarang. -- JP
