JAKARTA (JP): Junior players from eight Indonesian League
clubs will lock horns at the Indonesian Nike Premier Cup Under-15
soccer championship in Menteng stadium, Central Jakarta from
today to April 27.

They are defending champion Persija Jakarta, Persib Bandung,
PSP Padang, PSMS Medan, Persebaya Surabaya, PSIS Semarang,
Petrogres Gresik and PSM Ujungpandang.

Purnomo, spokesman for the American footwear giant, said
yesterday that the winner of the week-long invitational
tournament will represent Indonesia in the Cup's Asia Pacific
championship in Kuala Lumpur from May 9 to May 13. Winner of the
regional event will play in the Cup's European championship in
London from May 23 to May 27.

All-Indonesia Soccer Association chairman Azwar Anas is
scheduled to open the meet this afternoon. (arf)
