Unclaimed bodies pile up

DENPASAR, Bali: An average of three unidentified bodies are received each month at Sanglah Denpasar General Hospital, and with no one claiming them, the capacity of the morgue is stretched to the limit.

Hospital public relations officer Yulianus H. Laiskodat told Antara on Tuesday that the local administration will provide a special plot to bury the unidentified bodies.

So far, he said, unclaimed bodies were given to police to bury, but he did not know the location of their graves.
