Uncaring attitude of Sahid Jaya Hotel

About two weeks ago on a Sunday afternoon, I parked my car at Hotel Sahid Jaya on Jl. Sudirman. After paying Rp 2,000, I left my car parked for two hours. When I returned, still in broad daylight, the door had been opened, the lock broken, my sunglasses stolen and the radio displaced.

I immediately spoke to security guards, who complained that the parking area was wide and there were only two guards on patrol. The next week I tried on many occasions to call the Public Relations department to see what they were doing about the problem. Further frustrated with their indifference and their inability to return my phone calls, I tried speaking to the general manager who told me that the hotel accepts no responsibility for cars parked on their premises. I wondered that if this was the case, then what was the use of paying Rp 2,000 admittance fee if one's car is not safe during the middle of the day?

I am disappointed at the hotel's inability to take responsibility for their ineptitude.
