Ujungpandang hosts Arafura Games

JAKARTA (JP): About 600 athletes from 10 eastern provinces and
several athletes from Australia's Northern Territory will compete
in the seventh Arafura Youth Games from July 27 to Aug. 2 in
Ujungpandang, South Sulawesi.

The Games will feature six sports: athletics, volleyball,
basketball, table tennis, badminton and tennis.

The 10 provinces taking part in the games are Irian Jaya,
Maluku, North Sulawesi, Central Sulawesi, Southeast Sulawesi,
Bali, West Nusa Tenggara, East Nusa Tenggara, East Timor and the
host South Sulawesi. Each provincial team must compete in more
than four sports to clinch the game's overall title, Antara
