UI kicks off antismoking campaign
JAKARTA: The University of Indonesia (UI) kicked off a "No Smoking on Campus" campaign on Friday, in an effort to provide a healthier atmosphere at its Depok and Central Jakarta campuses.
UI spokeswoman Farida Haryoko said the rectorate would start putting up posters at both campuses on Monday.
UI also cooperated with the Indonesian Heart Foundation to establish the Healthy Heart Club, which was inaugurated on Friday.
All of this took place during a seminar on healthy hearts opened by Rector Dr. Usman Chatib Warsa. Dr. Ronaly Rasmin from the Harapan Kita Cardiac Hospital was the keynote speaker.
The entire event was in support of the Sports Awareness Campaign taking place as part of the university's 53rd anniversary. -- JP
