UI gets another professor
Lily Ismudiati Rilantono will be inducted as professor at the University of Indonesia (UI) Medical School during a ceremony to be held next Saturday.
Lily acquired her medical degree from the same school in 1960 and went on to specialize in pediatrics in 1963 before moving on to cardiology in 1971.
The 61-year-old lecturer has written extensively, producing over 100 papers on medical and social topics. Prior positions include chairperson of the Indonesian Cardiology Society (PERKI) and president of the Asian Society of Pediatric Cardiology.
During her induction, Lily will read her scientific paper entitled "The Role and Development of Science and Technological Research is Key to Resolving Cardiovascular Disorders."
Lily will be the tenth professor inducted by the university this year and the sixth at the faculty of medicine. (mds)
