Two RP fishermen stranded in Maluku

AMBON, Maluku: Motor failure has left two Philippine fishermen stranded in Eastern Seram regency here since April 7. The head of the regency's seaport operator, Rumra, said they were spotted adrift near Farlan Island by local people.

"The residents reported their location to us and we picked them up," he said, adding that local police were now investigating the case. -- JP
