Two murder suspects caught

SEMARANG, Central Java: Police here have arrested two of the
four suspects in last week's murder of a battery factory worker.

Local police precinct chief Col. Soenarko said the men,
identified as AR, 20, and MK, 22, were apprehended at bus
terminal in Secang, Magelang, around 70 kilometers south of the
city, on Saturday.

The two other suspects are still at large, Soenarko said.

"The police also confiscated an axe used to hack the victim to
death," he was quoted by Antara as saying.

He said the motive behind the murder was robbery because one
of the suspects wanted to buy a motorcycle.

"The victim was hacked to death when he was going to bed," he
said, adding that his roommate was seriously injured when trying
to fight back. (rms)
