Two men robbed in Bogor

BOGOR: Four armed men robbed two gas station employees on their way to make a bank deposit, injuring one of the employees and making off with Rp 40 million.

The robbery took place on Monday in Putat Nutug, Gunung Sindur subdistrict, Bogor, West Java.

The injured employee, identified as Hambali, said one of the robbers shot him in the leg when he refused to hand over the money. After grabbing the cash the robbers fled on two motorcycles.

Hambali, 30, and another employee, Aris, were driving a motorcycle to the Bank Mandiri branch in Munjul, Serpong, Banten province.

Hambali, who is a resident of Bojong Indah, Putat Nutug, was taken to the Indonesian Red Cross Hospital in Bogor.

Police in Gunung Sindur are investigating the case.--JP
