Two men killed on Thursday night

JAKARTA: The remains of 21-year-old Mohammad Darwin were brought to the Cipto Mangunkusumo Public Hospital morgue at dawn on Friday. He apparently had died of gunshot wounds to his back.

According morgue records, Darwin was a resident of Jl. Sungai Bambu II, Tanjung Priok, North Jakarta.

The original cause of death remained a mystery as the Tanjung Priok district police said there was no record of the case.

Meanwhile, at approximately the same time, Tajudin a 29-year- old man was also brought to the morgue after he apparently died of stab wounds to his stomach and left arm. Cuts and bruises were also visible on the man's forehead, an official at the morgue said.

The official added that Tajudin's body was collected by a member of his family at around noon on Friday.

The Kebayoran Baru sector police also said there was no record of the case and therefore no investigation was taking place.--JP
