Two killed in landslide

BOGOR: Two people were killed in a landslide on Friday in
Bojong Genteng village in Parung Kuda district, Sukabumi regency.

Two other people survived, and are recovering at Sayang
Hospital.

The two who died were Ojak, aged 70, along with his
eight-year-old son, Abdul Rozak. Ojak's wife, Ipah, 48, is in the
hospital with their eldest son, Nazirudin, 16.

An eyewitness, Ibu Harris, said that the landslide took place
at 12:30 a.m. after a heavy downpour, which began at 9 p.m.

"I think the landslide happened because our neighor built his
house on a cliff ... unfortunately, the land nearby fell on
Ojak's house," she said. -- JP
