Two killed in car collision

SRAGEN, Central Java: Two men were killed and another injured
when their motorcycle collided on Sunday with a car on the main
road in Sukowati village.

Police identified the fatalities as Suwarno, 27, and Keman,
30. Their friend, Hartono, 28, sustained chest injuries.

Local police chief Lt. Col. M. Ramlie said the three Tamaran
village locals were riding the speeding motorbike when they
slammed into the vehicle, which was preparing to turn off the
road.

The car was driven by a military officer. Ramlie declined to
identify the driver.

He said the local Military Police was questioning the driver
of the vehicle. (har/edt)
