Two killed by guests

JAMBI, Jambi: Two women were killed and one wounded on Tuesday
night in what appears to have been a robbery attempt, Antara
reported.

Febrita, 30, was found dead with her 14-year-old niece, Yike
Routh. Febrita's daughter, Dian Enjel Saputra, was badly wounded
while her three-year-old son, Boby, escaped unhurt.

The family who lived in the Sungai Putri district, were last
seen receiving two unidentified guests.

"Enjel is still receiving medical treatment but is in a
satisfactory condition," Jambi's provincial hospital director
Yasril Sari said.

Police suspect the murder happened during a robbery attempt.

Neighbors, however, rejected police claims saying none of the
family's belongings disappeared, and Febrita did not own anything
worth stealing.

The victim's husband was not at home at the time of the
murder. (ste)
