Two injured in acid attack

SEMARANG, Central Java: Jepara Police are searching for two
people who attacked two people on Friday with acid, a police
officer said on Monday.

Jepara Police chief Supt. Pria Iswadi Ismail said the two
victims, Rusmono Zuhri and his wife Titik Daryati, residents of
Panggang subdistrict in Jepara, were being treated at the local
state hospital for severe burns to their faces and bodies. Pria
said the couple was attacked by people riding a motorcycle.

Several witnesses have been questioned in connection with the
attack, according to Pria. (har/lup)
