Two envoys present credentials

JAKARTA: President Megawati Soekarnoputri received the
credentials of new ambassadors from North Korea and Romania on
Wednesday.

In a ceremony at Merdeka Palace, North Korean Ambassador Jang
Chang Chon and Romanian Ambassador Gheorghe Savuica presented
their credentials to Megawati.

Indonesia's relations with North Korea go back a long way.
Megawati returned from a state visit to the country last month.

Foreign minister Hassan Wirayuda was absent from the ceremony
as he is attending the Organization of Islamic Conference meeting
in Sudan.--JP
