Two die, three injured in blast

PALEMBANG: At least two died and three were injured when a
fire blast destroyed three houses in an old iron junk compound
next to a Haj dormitory here on Monday.

The blast at 9:15 a.m. killed Eddyson, 30 and a man named Jon,
Antara reported. The injured were identified as Yuliandi, Eka and
Herlan, who were rushed to the Mohammad Husein hospital in
Palembang.

Two cars were also destroyed in the blast which police are
investigating. (edt)
