Two die in Tangerang crash

TANGERANG (JP): Two people died in a crash on a toll road in
Tangerang on Saturday morning when a container truck experienced
brake problems and hit a stopped truck from behind, police said.

The two victims were identified as Ishaq, 20, a passenger in
the truck which was struck from behind, and the driver of the
container truck, Hermanto Raja Gukguk, 35.

Ishaq reportedly died instantly, while Hermanto died on the
way to the hospital.

The truck in which Ishaq was riding had engine problems and
had to pull off to the side of the Kebon Jeruk - Tangerang toll
road.

According to Rohim, the driver of the truck, Ishaq had gotten
out of the truck to look for help when the speeding container
truck struck him.

"This accident could have been avoided had the driver checked
his brakes before traveling," First Sgt. Iwan said at the
