Two AIDS victims dead in N. Sulawesi
MANADO, North Sulawesi: Governor E.E. Mangindaan said on Monday evening here that two people infected by the deadly AIDS (Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome) virus have died in the province so far.
"It is an official figure. The number in fact might be higher as many victims and their relatives decide not to report about the cases due to several reasons, particularly from embarrassment," said Mangindaan in a speech read by head of the North Sulawesi office of the Ministry of Health, Slamet Sunarso on AIDS Nusantara Reflection Night here.
