Twice a year not biennially

In my announcement about the concert of the Capella Amadeus String Orchestra (Saturday, Sept. 23), I wrote that the group has "performed regularly twice a year". For reasons best known only to the paper, it was changed into "has performed biennially".

The Jakarta Post is known as one of the supreme institutions of the English language in Indonesia. Since the change (which may well have misled readers) concerns extremely basic English, I can only hope and pray that it was a genuine mistake.
