Tutut spikes volleyball dump

JAKARTA (JP): Ever since Jakarta Governor Sutyoso lashed out
at the state of the karate hall, it seems no venue is safe from
criticism.

The latest to be slammed is the indoor volleyball center at
Istora Senayan.

Indonesian Volleyball Association chairwoman Siti Hardiyanti
Rukmana (Tutut) caused a stir when she made a midnight visit
after the opening ceremony and found the place a dump after being
used by dozens of young dancers to get changed.

One call to the Jakarta Military Commander, Maj. Gen. Sjafrie
Sjamsoeddin, later and the hall was abuzz with soldiers making
the place spick and span. (ste)
