1. Australia

Assistance

- Overall, a pledge of AS10 million in aid for all affected countries

- For Indonesia: * Water treatment, water containers, shelters, food and medicine.

* Five C130 Hercules (four Australian AF aircraft and one of NZ AF) and one Boeing 747 to carry aid

* 10 medical teams

* 60 tons of humanitarian aid and special equipment, such as generator

- Providing a transportable emergency hospital with the capacity of 90 beds

- Cooling units to preserve bodies

Disbursement mechanism

- The aircraft are already in Aceh

- Two Australian medical teams are on the way to disaster areas in Aceh

- HMAS Kanimbla carrying helicopters and technicians will arrive in Indonesia on Monday

2. Belgium

- Equipment for medical professionals and medical supplies

Disbursement mechanism

- Military aircraft A310 will transport medical supplies directly to Aceh via Medan

Canada

- Pledging (Canadian) $4 million in aid and one aircraft to transport relief equipment, such as medical equipment, tents, blankets, water sanitation equipment.

- A US$100,000 from the staff of the Canadian Embassy in Jakarta

Chile

- Pledging to provide a team of four doctors, one paramedic and one environmentalist

European Union

Iran

- A 41-ton aid package containing blankets, medicines, shelters, carpets, etc.

Disbursement mechanism

- The first batch of equipment will be transported by Emirates Airlines from Tehran to Medan, departing on Dec. 28, 2004 at 4 a.m.

Japan

- US$1.87 million in emergency goods and equipment comprising generators, tents, blankets, water purifiers, mattresses, water tanks, as well as drinking water, food and cooking oil

Disbursement mechanism

- A US$370,000 aid package will be sent to Medan on Dec. 13, 2004, consisting of:

* US$250,000 worth of generators, tents, blankets, mattresses, water purifiers, water tanks and plastic tanks.

* US$120,000 worth of drinking water, food and cooking oil The remaining aid of US$1.5 million will be allocated for Medan area on Jan 4, 2005

Malaysia

- Offers SMART Expeditions (Special Malaysian Rescue Team) with ambulances, land cruiser and other heavy equipment to locate the victims.

-The team consists of 30 people who left the Malaysian Air Force base in Subang on Dec. 29, 2004

New Zealand

- One NZ Air Force C130 Hercules
