TSI launches elephant safari trail

BOGOR: The Safari Indonesia Park (TSI) in Bogor opened on Thursday the Elephant Safari Trail -- an attraction for visitors wanting to ride on the back of elephants traveling around the park.

The launch was attended by Valerina Novita Daniel, a television news anchor, who was recently named as Putri Puspa and Lingkungan (Miss Flower and Environment) by Dana Mitra Lingkungan, an environmental organization.

TSI marketing manager Willem Manansang said the park prepared six elephants for the program.

Visitors wanting to ride the animals have to pay Rp 50,000 (US$5) each.--JP/Theresia Sufa
