Try to open librarians meeting

JAKARTA (JP): Vice President Try Sutrisno is slated to open the seventh national librarians congress in Jakarta next month.

The congress, organized by the Association of Indonesian Librarians, is scheduled to take place at Hotel Indonesia from Nov. 20 to Nov. 23, according to a statement made available to The Jakarta Post yesterday.

The objectives of the congress are to discuss both the libraries and librarians of Indonesia and the course of national library development.

The congress is also intended to provide a forum for communication between librarians and other experts in information, telecommunications and documentation. (sur)
