Truck crushes student to death

BOGOR (JP): Deni Suryani, a student at state Senior High
School (SMU) 8 Bogor, had her head crushed Wednesday night by a
container truck on Jl. Raya Bogor in Cibinong, while her friend
Hertin was severely injured.

Witnesses said that Deni, 18, and Hertin, 20, were speeding on
a motorcycle, lost control and fell after the handlebars caught
the body of the truck.

"Both Deni and Hertin fell under the truck. One of the
vehicle's wheels crushed Deni's head and another one went over
one of Hertin's legs," said Sianturi, one of the witnesses.

The truck fled as local people organized sending the victims
to Bogor's PMI hospital. (24/hhr)
