Tremor jolts Jakarta

INDONESIA: A three to five minute tremor jolted Jakarta at
around 8:50 p.m. on Saturday.

The Meteorology and Geophysics Agency (BMG) confirmed the
quake but has not given any details. "We are still studying the
tremor," an official with BMG was quoted by detik.com news portal
as saying.

Some Jakartans claimed that they felt the tremor. "My house
shook but nothing was broken. I just hope there are no more
tremors," said Didik, a resident of Pamulang, Tangerang.

Residents in Pondok Cabe, Ancol and Depok also reported that
they felt the tremor. -- JP
