Tremor jolts Jakarta
INDONESIA: A three to five minute tremor jolted Jakarta at around 8:50 p.m. on Saturday.
The Meteorology and Geophysics Agency (BMG) confirmed the quake but has not given any details. "We are still studying the tremor," an official with BMG was quoted by detik.com news portal as saying.
Some Jakartans claimed that they felt the tremor. "My house shook but nothing was broken. I just hope there are no more tremors," said Didik, a resident of Pamulang, Tangerang.
Residents in Pondok Cabe, Ancol and Depok also reported that they felt the tremor. -- JP
