Train hits truck, injuring four

PASURUAN, East Java: The Argopuro train serving Yogyakarta- Banyuwangi route hit a truck in Gerongan village, and carried it about 100 meters down the tracks, Antara reported on Saturday.

Deputy police chief Maj. Adisuyono said four people were injured when the seven-cars train with some 400 people on board hit the truck which was stuck in the middle of the railway crossing due to some engine troubles.

The accident took place on Friday. The injured were two train passengers and two people in the truck. (swe)
