Train fatally strikes man

BEKASI: A man was killed instantly when he was hit by the express Gaja Yana train on Thursday at Bulak Kapal subdistrict, East Bekasi, while another was seriously injured after being struck by the same train, not far from the place where the first incident had taken place.

The body of the victim, Jalo Parda, a resident of Kranji subdistrict, West Bekasi, was cut into two, while his skull was fractured.

Pranoto, 23, sustained serious wounds when he was hit by the same train, which was on its way from Jakarta to Malang, East Java. He was rushed to Bekasi general hospital.--Antara
