Train derails in Bandung, all safe

BANDUNG: An Argogede executive train skidded off the tracks at around 10:20 a.m. on Friday near Bandung railway station. No injuries, train delays or cancellations were reported.

However, around 200 passengers had to wait for more than two hours to continue their journey on the same train, while 45 others decided to take a different train.

The train, plying the Bandung-Jakarta route, derailed only about one minute after it had left the station. The accident was the 14th derailment to have taken place in Bandung during the past three months. Seven accidents were blamed on landslides. --JP
