Train collision kills one

BANDAR LAMPUNG, Lampung: Two trains collided head-on Friday in
Sulusuhan, Central Lampung, killing one of the locomotive
engineers and injuring six passengers.

Antara reported that the trains, a passenger train coming from
Bandar Lampung and a coal train coming from Tanjung Enim, South
Sumatra to Bandar Lampung, could not avoid the collision because
they sighted each only after it was too late.

Sukirno, the engineer on the coal train, was killed instantly.
Passengers were taken to Abdul Muluk Hospital in Bandar Lampung.
