Train collides with oil truck

PEMALANG, Central Java: One person was killed and three others suffered severe burns when an express train collided with a tanker truck at an unguarded railway crossing on Tuesday.

There was a huge explosion after the collision, Antara reported, quoting witnesses.

The Cepat train was on its way from Semarang to Jakarta.

The entire locomotive was gutted. Fortunately, Pemalang railway workers were able to separate the passenger cars from the locomotive.

The person killed was the tanker driver. (emb)
