Traffic violators netted

JAKARTA (JP): The West Jakarta office of land transportation
agency has netted 20 buses and four trucks for violating traffic
regulations during an operation.

The operation was held on Tuesday on Jl. Pejagalan Raya, Jl.
Tubagus Angke, and Jl. Daan Mogot.

Lorenz Simatupang, head of the office said that the types of
violations committed by the drivers of the vehicles included
parking on sidewalks, not closing bus doors while in motion and
driving in the wrong lanes.

Simatupang told reporters that ten of the violators had been
ticketed. The buses and trucks driven by the 14 other people were
impounded.(29)
