Traffic routes in Bogor

JAKARTA (JP): The trial of changes in traffic routes on major roads in Bogor over the weekend ended smoothly.

The tryout was conducted on Friday as part of the administration's preparations for the upcoming Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) forum meeting next month.

The tryout lasted from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m.

The commander of traffic and parking for the APEC meeting, Lt. Col. Sutarna, told Antara that in general the trial run went as well as expected despite a number of obstacles, mainly a lack of facilities.

The authority, for example, still needs more traffic signs, he said, adding that in a number of streets the vehicle height bars over entrances are too low, making it difficult for some cars to pass through. (mas)
