Traffic accidents kill six motorists

TANGERANG: Six people were killed in three separate traffic
accidents that took place at about the same time on Tuesday.

In the first accident, two butchers on a motorcycle were hit
by a container truck on Jl. MH Thamrin, Kebon Nanas district.

Konjaya, 29, and Jumadi, 23, died on the spot.

Two unidentified men were killed in a hit-and-run accident
near the Jakarta-Merak toll road. Neither were carrying identity
cards.

The third took place on Jl. Merdeka, when car driver Lie Bue
Tet, 43, and Sanusi, 43, were trying to avoid a collision with a
truck coming from the opposite direction. Their car, instead, hit
another car. Lie died at the scene, while Sanusi died on the way
to the hospital. -- JP
