Tourist's death

With reference to the news report in The Jakarta Post's "Across The Archipelago" column under the headline Australian tourist found dead (May 23, 1996), we would like to clarify the matter. This incident did not take place at The Oberoi, Bali, and The Oberoi, Bali, was in no way connected to the demise of the gentleman concerned.

We have double checked with the Kuta police station and although an incident did take place, the gentleman was Canadian and his death occurred at another property in Bali.
